Welcome to Sign Design Theatre, the premier Children's American Sign Language Theatre in Nevada. Please explore our site to learn about our inspiring, innovative program and how to book a show for your special event. This non-profit 501(c)3 youth development organization is committed to providing an exemplary theatre experience for both members and their audiences. Our partnership programs with local public and private schools introduce American Sign Language to local students and lead many of them to further explore theatre and sign language. Full length productions of musicals such as the Wizard of Oz bring the beauty of American Sign Language to hearing audiences and allow the deaf community to enjoy musical theatre.
Sign Design members are taught American Sign Language, theatre arts, and dance, as well as costume, make-up, prop and set design. Parents volunteer with various aspects of the program and theatre productions. Most importantly, members learn skills such as teamwork, creative thinking, self-reliance, responsibility, and the value of community service. These skills build self confidence that benefits them throughout their lives. The children of Sign Design Theatre Company combine American Sign Language with musical interpretations in performances throughout Southern Nevada, including Las Vegas, North Las Vegas, Henderson, and Boulder City. These performances are also taken on the road to various cities throughout the United States. Membership is open to all children ages five to eighteen. Rehearsals are two to three times a week including Thursday evenings and Saturday afternoons. Our studio is centrally located right of I-15. Members are taught American Sign Language, dance, and theatre. No signing or dance experience is required.

Sign Design Theatre is a non-profit 501(c)3 youth development organization that relies in large part on donations, grants and community support.
